Apparently this is an actual word.

SPIRALIST: a person or thing that ascends in a spiral structure.

Two surprising ones on a single board!

BHUT: most likely https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhoot_(ghost) (I tried it because I thought of the bhut jolokia or ghost pepper)
VIBROFLOTATION: https://www.thebalance.com/vibroflotation-improve-bearing-capacity-844578

What if they're descending instead of ascending? Is there a different word for that?

VIBROFLOTATION sounds like a high-tech way to relax ... like a cross between a flotation tank and magic fingers

I just played a board that had a 14 point record after 49 plays, and found the unlikely word CIRCUMNUTATIONS (15 letters, 28 points) for two new records.

Definition of Circumnutation
1. n. The successive bowing or bending in different directions of the growing tip of the stems of many plants, especially seen in climbing plants.

I saw the syllable "circum" and had found "notations" and tried to put the two together with no luck, but I kept trying with other combinations. Never thought this one would be successful.

Great find Kate! Interesting word. This week I played RADIATIONS, then IRRADIATIONS. I noticed post- next to it so thought why not? POSTIRRADIATIONS 30 pts, 2 records.

I decided to take on a board with 22/12 records just to see if there was something higher. I found their record with SONOGRAPHIES. There were a lot of o's around -graphies. I notice odont- and thought it's included in orthodontist. Tried ODONTOGRAPHIES and got 26 pts and 2 records for it. lol, surprise!
ODONTOGRAPH n. An instrument for marking or laying off the outlines of teeth of gear wheels.
It did have something to do with teeth after all.

First board of the New Year ... had a best find of MUTUALIZATIONS (29). I found that and also saw there was a "DE" available. So I tried DEMUTUALIZATIONS which didn't sound at all like a legitimate word, and it was accepted for 33 points!

For those interested in vocabulary improvement, It refers to changing a company from mutual ownership to ownership via stocks or shares.

Good start! My first word was DISAFFIRMATIONS for 28 points, so not even as good as yours without the DE-.
