HOW MANY WORDS??

I would like to know how, after typing as fast as i can ( I am a typist at 60wpm) ) non stop, playing all the words I see throughout the two minute time, I still only get 50 odd words, yet people are getting 140 odd words in this 2 minute period?? How???

(sometimes the timer lags), but even if it doesn't lag, if you know common patterns, you can do over 2 words per second in short bursts. The classic example is AEST in a square, where autopilot can take over to give something like 23 words in under 10 seconds if you're fast. Of course, sustaining a good rate for 2 minutes requires a good board and to a certain extent good organisation.

Continuing the same thought ... you get used to typing the same things over and over again. It's not really equivalent to typing 140 discrete different words. I can't count the number of times I've typed stern sterns tern terns terne ternes, or eten etens nete netes, or other clusters that tend to go together. I'm not one of the top speed typists, but I can easily understand how people who play a lot and put some effort into memorizing not just discrete words, but word clusters, achieve what they do.

There, people are talking about finding palindromes and semordnilaps, which also form the basis for people who are able to get a lot of words in a short period of time.

I'm not a huge fan of touch screen. Does anybody make >150 words in 4x4 semi-reguarly with touchscreen?
