NEUROFIBROMATOSIS is still up for grabs on a board where the record is 7 letters...

I have a bad habit of seeing a word just one way on the board, when it can be written using a different set of tiles. I saw TROPICAL, I saw IZATION, but when I selected TROPICAL, I used the first I from IZATION. Too late I noticed another I I could have used.

I have learned (kind of) not to get too bogged down in finding the exact letter path. That kind of thing has happened a lot to me, so if I think I see a long word, I'll type it and maybe later go back to see how the hell I got it. (If you're swiping, that doesn't help.)

Saw PROTECTORS or something, right as the buzzer sounded. Would've been the longest word. Same thing happened with FALSIFIES.

On a 4x4 board, there were two common 8+ words, no wide, no rare, no ultra rare. Right as the buzzer sounded, I spotted them: DRUNKARD and DRUNKARDS. Man, that would have been a 9 letter record that never could be beaten. *Sigh

OK, I may remember that for a day or so, but otherwise I'd never manage to put that together. (Parts of it, sure, but other parts, never...) I assume that's the way with a number of words here. I wonder how many long words have been included that have never been found.

The only reason I ever would have even thought of that word in my wildest dreams is because a while back, I posted a list of 25-letter words. One of them is PHOSPHATIDYLETHANOLAMINES. I remembered the PHOSPHATIDYL- part and the -CHOLINES part is rather knowable (as well as the previous longest word).

As far as I know, there's never been a 25 letter word here, Given that there have been lots (OK, a few) 24 letter words found, and fairly often, I'd guess that any of those would have been found by now.

Anyway, yes, I'll have to watch for PHOSPHATIDYLETHANOLAMINES. Just because a 25-letter word hasn't been found doesn't mean that it isn;t here somewhere.
