I'm oboehobo same as I was in Tangleword. I'm still stunned the game doesn't exist anymore. I have found Boggled and Weboggle, but I enjoyed the 5-letter room at Tangleword and sometime the 6-letter on a 5-by-5 board, and I don't know where to go for that kind of game anymore. Please let me know if you find anything comparable.

Wordracer is up?

It hasn't been working for me for the last three months. No matter which browser I use. I just get a white page every time I try visiting it :confused:

edit: Aha, found the problem. Apparently the login cookie is supposed to expire after two weeks. But it doesn't appear to log you out. Yet it does, kinda. So logging out and logging back in fixes the problem, though I'm not entirely sure why.

I've been having a good time playing here but still miss tangleword as well. Some of the sites people have been playing at include:

The person at jumbleaya (tams) has been making changes to her game to fit the suggestions of the players. She charges a monthly fee I believe but it's free to get started. There's a downloadable executable you need for it. No ratings yet.
Wordsplay.net has been making changes also - allowing mouse clicks on the board now. There's no chat here though.

I love wordrampage.com - it's similar to Boggle and Tangleword. I love the chat and the fact that so many great changes are coming!

Pretty much, if not all tanglers moved to Scramble on Facebook.com. It's an application, so just type it in the box in the top corner. Ask if there are any tanglers in a room and you'll be surprised. Hope you all move there! It's almost the same as tangle

Thanks for the info, MrB. I tried Scramble, several different rooms, and found it too easy to beat the people there. I was rated around 2300 when Tangleword disappeared. I know there were other players rated that high or higher (much higher) so where have they gone? If you have a recommendation on which Scramble room to try, I'd love to hear it.

I've created a free game site at http://games.cobradragon.com. The first game is called Serpentine, which replicates the rules and play of Tangleword almost exactly (I was big into tangleword back when).

It is still being tested and some bugs are being ironed out, but it is currently in good working condition. All you have to do is register for an account, respond to your activation email, and you can play.

I went to this site and it is super! It has chat while you play (you choose a room). Someone who used to play Tangleword said she loved it. Give it a try. It is still really new but it is awesome.

cobra dragon is a windfall for fans of tangleword. there are still occasional glitches, but for the most part it works great. hope to see more of the old 5-letter tanglers there. please spread the word.
