5x5 game boards launched

As you've probably noticed, we've launched the 5x5 game boards as of September 1st. 5x5 games are played in more or less the same way, except you have 3 minutes to play (instead of 2 for 4x4) and each word must have a minimum of 4 letters (instead of 3 for 4x4). Points are tallied the same way as in 4x4 games.

All stats from 4x4 games are kept separate from stats for 5x5 games, and we'll be updating the Hall of Fame and Monthly Competitions areas to reflect this over the next few days. Each player's profile page will also be split between 4x4 statistics/trophies and 5x5 statistics/trophies.

Awesome, just to let you know I think there are still a few bugs. Half way through some games the board quit tallying and recording the new words I found.

Hi Holly -

I've not been able to replicate this problem. If you can let me know what browser and operating system you're using, and also any other details about what seems to happen (i.e. what happens when you enter a word that's not being tallied - any response from the system, any error messages?) or how you're playing (clicking letters to form words, typing words out, etc.) would help me narrow down the possibilities.

Thanks for making up the 5 x 5 boards. I love looking for the longer words and not having to worry about the short three letter words. I'm glad that the time allotted for each board is three minutes instead of two minutes. I like how you are keeping the hall of fames separate for the 4 x 4 boards and the 5 x 5 boards as well. Another great improvement to the site.

:) Thanks so much for the choice of boards, it is just great!! A wonderful improvement to the site!!!! Truble is I can't stop playing it:D The length of time for the game is spot on and I just find it more challenging as I only play 5 letters or more!! The only thing I had to do was reduce the screen size to 75% as the letters, type area and submit button wouldn't all fit on.i.e. I was missing the Submit. Just one thing when my score, number of rare etc are displayed a black box to the right obliterates most of the info and it also covers most of the clock!! Well done all concerned Susan

If it happens again I will let you know. I am unable to click on the letters to form words, so I type, i've tried clicking and no success, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
