Hey LIbeach,
I was a long time member at the atar site (even b4 it was atari) about 8-9 yrs. Really very disappointed in that site. But very glad I found this one. It's addicting. (On atari I was "LakesideMom".)
Talk to ya soon.

Hi beach! Having Atari shut down is like having your local bar get sucked into a black hole and all your drinking buddies getting abducted by aliens. Good to see you.

Are any of you all still able to play Tangleword at iWin? It seems like the server is down just for that game but maybe I'm missing something?

AchooMooMoo
07-28-2007, 10:29 AM
yeah it always shows only 32 players in Tangleword for the past several days  I keep getting fatal error messages etc..

now Im REALLY going thru withdrawals - as Tangle was the closest thing to Boggle with their ranking, and chat etc..

Yeah, Tangleword has been down for nearly a week now. I wonder if they are totally doing away with it? This just isn't the same when you can't chat in between rounds, not that I really chatted that much.

This is really good site. I was going through major withdrawal from the atari boggle site. I tried lots of sites I found on the Web but was happy to find this one, especially since I see the familiar names of so many "refugees" from the old site. I do miss being able to use my mouse as I'm a terrible typist and that slows me down. But it's still fun.

Hi jackpat50 -

As of this weekend players can now elect to either use their mouse to click words into play, or to type them as normal. Hope this helps!

Thanks for adding the mouse feature, I'm trying it out. I'm so glad I found this new site.

Hi Scott -

I've installed a BETA chat room this evening at:

http://www.boggled.org/chat.php

Hopefully this will suit everyone who's been asking for a chat module!

Okay....I'm still ticked off at Atari. How long did we wait for them to fix the stupid site? And then......gone! I wasnt sure what I thought of this site at first, but I'm becoming a lil addicted. They could have multiplayer rooms though.

Hi Atari refugees!

I'm so glad I found this site to help with my boggle withdrawal. It's great to see familiar names showing up with records here and on the hall of fame list. You can't keep a boggler down!

I think all of us Atari players flooding these alternative Boggle sites have the admins scratching their heads.

Even though there is no ranking here, I love watching the Hall of Fame list change day to day. I see plenty of familiar names climbing that list quickly. I know that it has my competitiveness piqued. As I am one of the few typers from old boggle, I might actually give some of you Reds a run for your money!

Great to see all of you.

Hi all,

So if Hasbro bought the rights back, does anyone know if they plan on putting Boggle on their site much like the game was on Atari? (and it figures that Atari went down shortly after I found the site and started to get my ratings up...lol)

Hi hazelwood, I remember you from the atari site. I'm a terrible typist and although you can use your mouse here as of late, it doesn't work like atari, and it really slows me down. But I'm happy to be here and especially happy to see you and all the names I know from atari, have fun, jackpat 50

Looks like there are a number of ex atari boggle players on this site when I search the names of members. But still trying to locate a number of people that I routinely played with (in the master unrated games) that I either haven't seen on any site yet or that I've only seen listed as members on sites with no chat. So glad that a bunch of us have stayed together and are still playing against and chatting with one another in tangleword but would still like to find some others. Also, I tried going into the chat feature that the administrator had listed in his post but all I got was file not found.

Hi Statis,
I do remember playing you. I hope you check back on this site. There is another site that many of the atari refugees are playing because you can chat on there and it is a lot like the old games.com site before atari took it over. The game is called tangleword and it can be found under the online games section of www.iwin.com. I hope that this site will add a chat feature.

We've added back our chat feature (provisionally) at:
http://www.boggled.org/online.php

Chat is still pretty new for this site so would love to have feedback from those who have requested this feature - what works, what doesn't, any bugs, etc.

Thanks!

Thanks for the chat feature. It's very nice of the site to listen to recommendations from the people who play there. I only noticed the new chat feature by accident when I went into see who was online feature. I'm not sure that I would have noticed it at the top. Is there anyway when you enter to play the games, that you can post on that page in big letters to let people know that chat has now been added and that you can chat with others who are playing online at the same time? I know it says it in the forums, but I'm not sure how many players actually check the postings. Also, is it possible that the chat board could come up when you first enter? I'm not sure if that is possible or not. I like being able to chat and play together and I like knowing who else is online. I'm a social player who enjoys playing for fun. Well, thanks again.

Nanachichi, I'm hoping that you see this message. I received your private message and I'm glad to see you as a member on this site. I was thrilled to get your message and I sent you a private message back. Please check your private messages because we have been trying to find you.

Just wanted to add an idea to a previous posting I had about letting people know that there is now a chat feature on this site. Is it also possible that when you first enter the main screen as well to let people know that they have a new private message? This way people know to check their private messages. Unless you go into the forums or check your own profile it doesn't say it, but even there it is pretty small. Also is there a way when someone else is online (such as someone on your buddy list) to let them know you are both online together -- such as send them an instant message. This way you can both go to the chat room?

I've noticed lately that are a lot of new players who used to play in the old atari site. It's nice to see people I haven't seen in awhile.

I'm another atari refugee.

I like this as a game, but I really miss the direct competition and chatting! It's just not the same . . .

I just found this site a few days ago. It is not Atari but perhaps it will develop into a site like the old Atari boggle. I miss that game a lot. I believe my name there was Prazr

I played Tangleword when it was on the old playsite.com. I also tried wordracer for a while at Yahoo.
