Earlier today I played a board on which I saw BYZANT/S, just as the time ran out. I am pretty sure that the word is very rare, and it contains B, Y and Z, which would probably knock up the rare word score considerably. It would be great to know just how much such words would be worth, though.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have some sort of app built into this site, which would enable you to search for a word in the dictionary and see its point value. This would be very helpful for serious players like myself, who are slow typists, but know the dictionary very well. If I could work out the different value of certain anagram sets it would help me to know where to focus my attention. I have a fairly good idea of some of the most valuable basic anagram/subanagram sets (e.g. SKEANES, STEANES), but it would be good to hone it a little more.
