Stats Question

Hi, all -

I started playing on April 2nd. Why aren't my monthly and lifetime stats the same? They are close to the same, but slightly different.

i asked this question once before, and was told that the algorithm for calculating the two is different, or something, so they can end up having slightly different values.

i still don't quite understand why that would be, but it's what i was told...
