I am fairly new and must say that I am absolutely addicted to this game :)

Was wondering how often this happens to others. You are typing away as fast as you can and think you found a word but the game tells you it isn't one.

I typed chown several times in my last game and was getting frustrated because I was postive I had used this word before even though I couldn't remember its meaning. Convinced I had found a bug I googled it and got to laughing. It is an abbreviation for Change Owner on Unix based systems. Years ago I managed a website for some realtors I worked for. Funny how these odd things stick with you.

This has also happened when I have typed in science fiction words that have snuck into my vocabulary.

:) I know what you mean. It doesn't happen that often, but I have done the same thing.
On the other hand, some words you don't expect to be counted are, like jedi. That one still puzzles me — shouldn't it be a proper noun?

"wester" is a word that isn't capitalized, but "easter," as far as I can see (and I've searched a whole bunch of online and printed dictionaries) is always capitalized

However, I just saw "Jesuit", and is far as I can tell, that's always capitalized.

I've used the word easter numerous times, in fact about 5 minutes ago. I came to the forum just for a second and saw your post. I think easters is worth about 9 points, too...
