Lifetime vs monthly stat calculations

Hi,

I just created my account on the first of this month, so my monthly and lifetime statistics both cover the same time period.

Looking at my scores page, both my lifetime and monthly stats sections show that I've played 136 games and scored 39,519 points.

But under the lifetime section, this is calculated to an average score of 290.26, and in the monthly section those same scores calculate to an average of 290.580 points.

Also, my lifetime section shows 66.14 average words, and my monthly section shows 66.463 average words.

Since those two sections are based on the same 136 games, I would expect the averages to be the same.

Any ideas why they aren't?

Hello -

All-time scores use a different rounding formula to determine averages, compared to what is used for the monthly competitions. I am working on code that will eventually have both use the same formulas but its not quite ready for prime time.
